This is the apt tagline for the movie race....... Well it stars Saif Ali Khan,Akshay Khanna,Bipasha Basu,Katrina Kapoor,Anil Kapoor and Sameera Reddy. The movie is a delight and its great to see a mature product from Bollywood after such a long time. Its high time that Indian Cinema embraced realism and thus show its movies sticking to the reality.
Well the story goes on like this.Saif here is a successful businessman who has a younger brother which is played by Akshay Khanna......then there Kat as Saif's secretary and Bips as a successful model..... Anil (Bhalu dada)....tries to redo the 'jasoos karamchand' thing as Officer RD and Sameera as her half cracked yet sexy assistant. Saif plays a very hard souled business tycoon who never looses and yes he never misses the chance to teach his rivals a lesson if they don't follow the rule book and try defeating him using treacherous means.How he does it is worth watching in the film. Akshay on the other hand is his younger brother whom Saif loves alot and takes care of alot but on the other Akshay hates his elder brother and keeps intriguing as to when to destroy him. The fight between these two brothers is worth watching. Saif has been a winner through out his life since childhood. Akshay on the other hand has always been defeating by Saif since childhood,whether its sysle race or anything.Even their father gives his entire business to Saif leaving Akshay to be dependent on him.But the kindness and care of Saif is treated as alms by Akshay and he plots to kill him and take over the whole of business as well as the insurance money.
Now to tell the story further would be cheat you. Its full of twists and till the last there are only twists. Kat and Bips also have surprising roles which I would not like to give out.The only thing I can say that the devilish streak that Kat tries to wear looks extremely sexy on her.The moment when she purrs "You bet" into Akshay's ears in such an arousing tone is something Kat could only do. Her gorgeous,sweet,sexy but BAD image that she portrays in this movie is marvelous.Bips rocks as usual and this she gets intimate with Saif in many scenes.I wonder was it the body double or herself.But what does it matter to Saif.The Dober Man was all in all himself in every hot scene and he seems to be getting more and more comfortable day by day.
The stunts and actions are great.Abbas Mastaan has done his job well.The movie has good pace.The comedy by Anil Kapoor is well digestable. Johnny Lever rocks in the one scene he comes in.
The songs rock.Race theme songs are perfect for the dance mix loves while Zara zara leaves you panting and high.
The USP that I found in the movie was the theme that it showed.It was very realistic in the sense that here they show how evil is defeated through its own game plan. How the evil away with its deed but when it is treated in its own manner it crumbles like a house of cards.
Watch the movie if you haven't.Worth watching and alot to learn.If you have watched the movie with your nagging girlfriend who keeps adoring Saif and criticizing Kat and Bips and munching popcornsloudly,I suggest watch it alone again,on DVD or in the multiplex thats your choice. But do watch it.Its a nice movie.
